The Wildflower Triathlon, May 5-7, 2000
Here they are, pictures from that glorious weekend.
On the road again.

We hit some serious traffic an hour into the drive to Lake San Antonio. Restless (and eager to sneak in an extra workout), Michelle and I do the Chinese Fire Drill.

This was weird. We spotted a cloud that had all the colors of the rainbow. As far as we could tell, it wasn't caused by a plane or anything else manmade. We took it as a good omen.

Some of us were having trouble setting up the campsite. Luckily Larissa was there to show us how it's done.

Feeling confident, I accept her challenge to play for money. Little did I know the kid's a card shark. I lost everything I owned that day. Thankfully, she let me keep my bike until after the race.

Next came "Staying Alive." We were about to break into "Livin' La Vida Loca," but everyone got too rowdy, so we had to cool out. Plus the people next door asked us to pipe down.
