The Oakland Zoo
On Saturday, February 19, my mentor group spent some time with our honoree, Larissa Campana, and her mom at the Oakland Zoo. We had a great day getting to know them and checking out the attractions. We also learned more about Leukemia and other blood-related cancers, and what victims and their families endure. Thankfully, Larissa is doing well, and with any luck, she'll never have to remember her painful experiences with Leukemia.
